6 Essential Walmart Great Value Products for Spring Meal Prep

I’ve been using Walmart’s Great Value products for a while now, and I’ve found that some of them are actually really great. As we head into Spring, I’m excited to share my favorites with you, from pantry staples to snacks that are perfect for outdoor eating. With Easter just around the corner, I’ve also included some tips for incorporating these products into your holiday recipes.

Great Value Pantry Staples

I’ve tried a lot of different brands of olive oil, but I keep coming back to Great Value’s 100% Italian Olive Oil. It’s around $5 for a 25.4 oz bottle, which is a great price compared to other brands. I use it for everything from sautéing vegetables to making salad dressings. Another Great Value product that I use all the time is their Canned Black Beans. They’re around $1 per can, and they’re a great addition to tacos, salads, and rice bowls.

Now that the weather is warming up, I’m excited to start eating outside again. Great Value has some awesome snack options that are perfect for picnics or barbecues. Their Trail Mix is a favorite of mine – it’s got a great mix of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, and it’s only around $5 for a 30 oz bag. I also love their Whole Grain Crackers, which are perfect for snacking on with cheese or hummus.

Tips for Spring Meal Prep

As we head into Spring, I’ve found that meal prep is all about flexibility. With the weather warming up, I’m more likely to want to eat outside or try new recipes. To make meal prep work for you, I recommend setting aside a few hours on the weekend to cook and portion out your meals for the week. I also like to keep a few staples on hand, like Great Value’s Canned Black Beans and Quinoa, which can be used in a variety of different dishes.

One of my favorite Spring recipes is a simple quinoa salad with roasted vegetables. I roast a big batch of vegetables on Sunday night, then mix them with cooked quinoa, canned black beans, and a vinaigrette made with Great Value’s Olive Oil.
